Intent & Partnership

Always together….Always as one.. they work to bring integrity and freedom.

Intent:  "What do I want?"

A discovery of what you want is essential for health and healing.

Exploring this question will stir up your dreams, your hope, and your desire for fulfillment.  When you do this, life responds.  Life knows you will need resources for accomplishing your dreams.  You will need strength, energy, courage, and determination - the very same resources used for healing.  As you stir up your dreams, life stirs up your resources for possible action.

Intent is a Sense of Knowing

Knowing what you want changes bit by bit as you learn more about yourself and what is truly important in your life.  Knowing what you want exists to motivate and keep you moving forward with confidence and clarity.  There is energy in knowing what you want and deciding to do something about it. An exploration of intent gathers up your dreams and prepares you for action.  This simple dynamic of dreams and action serves to transform both you and your world.  The motion created by dreams and action restores energy and sets your healing process in motion.

All the healing exercises suggested in a reading are intended to focus your attention and help you find the "feeling" of what you want.  Feeling is vital, so allow yourself to feel and your intent will slowly reveal itself and your energy will return.  Wanting is the gateway where our vital energy is either released or held in.

Partnership

We are not alone on our journey.  Life sees, understands, and provides guidance.  A discovery of our partnership with life is essential for health and healing.

S.O.N.G.
Life is supremely practical. There are four distinct places you can go to make a strong connection with life.

Self: Be in solitude. Take a long walk. Sit for a while. Take a rest or a nap. Take a few hours and locate yourself.  Find your passion.  Awaken your vision.  Explore your strengths and abilities.  Daydream.  Ask yourself:  What do I really want?

Others: Share what you really want with others. Talk about your vision and your passion. And with equal respect, invite them to share what they really want.  Find the common dream you share with humanity.  Life is a common thread that links us all together.  We are more alike than we might think.

Nature: Nature is already complete and working perfectly. Be in nature.  Take time to look around, listen, and be inspired.  Ask for guidance.  Talk out loud.  Talk with nature.  There is a presence in nature that awaits our recognition and respect.

God: Best to keep it simple.  Whatever created us is still doing its job keeping us alive. While we are breathing, growing, moving, and feeling, the presence of the Creator is still inside us,  doing its work day in and day out. Take the time to locate this presence. Take time to partner with God.  Declare your desire to make contact, then, humbly make yourself available.  The effort will be honored.

These are the four areas where we can connect and enter a partnership with life:  Self, Others, Nature, and God.  Reading the Body will reveal which of these partnerships need more awareness and activity for healing.  There are simple exercises for each area.  In truth, we are always connected with  life.  The challenge is to reawaken our awareness of the connection and rediscover the pleasures and healing benefits of partnership.
